A new groundbreaking discovery makes looking for life on Jupiter's moon ‘Europa’ a possibility
Просмотров 45614 часов назад
Jupiter is the largest and oldest planet in our solar system. Formed from the dust and gases left over from the Sun's formation 4.6 billion years ago. While Jupiter’s environment is probably not conducive to life as we know it the same is not true of some of its 95 moons. The moon Europa is actually one of the likeliest places to find life elsewhere in our solar system since there is evidence o...

    I have a question, what exactly are the qualifications for entering DTU? ‘cause I really wanna go there, like lot, but I don’t really know if I meet the criteria I mean I know I don’t meet the criteria, I can’t even apply until after about 4 yrs It’s just what are the standards? Could I possibly get into DTU? Am I even the kind of person they consider? I’m autistic, I’m very logical thinking and quite creative but I’m super emotionally unstable, I know alot about creative subjects such as were you paint or draw, make make shelf, I’m quite decent at writing and with assignments/assays, but I lack in math. I missed almost 4 years of school due to school switchings and covid, now I’m 15 (turned may) my math levels are all over the place. In some cases I excel and in others I’m at 0-2 graders level. (I have to relearn math from scratch) It’s bad but of course it’s possible by the time I turn 19 I’ll have it somewhat sorted out but if even if it isn’t the best could I still get into DTU? Am i putting way too high expectations for myself and do i stand a chance at all? Should reevaluate going into DTU in the first place since I might now have a chance at all? That is all thank you for reading!

    Why do we compute the curvature of the L-curve instead of just computing the total norm (the residual norm and the solution norm together)? Won't the corner of the curve always be the point closest to the origin?

    43:31 It is connected to the concept of reproducing kernel Hilbert space. More specifically, for any functional from Hilbert space to real line (from feature space to prediction), we can simplify it as a scalar product with the special vector w in Hilbert space. Thus, finding the optimal functional can be interpreted as a problem of finding optimal element w in Hilbert space.

    Nilsson is irretrievably confused. It is assumptions that are hidden in "ab initio" of the traditional model that are the confounding factor that has confused Nilsson and the rest of academia. Specifically the mistake is the failure to recognize that H2O polarity is not a constant but a variable the magnitude of which varies dramatically as a consequence of hydrogen bonding. Thus Nilsson's thinking is a combination of empiricism and superstition that will only result in the continuation of his own confusion and the confusion of his students and audience. The mistake that is hidden in the ab initio is an assumption that was introduced to us from Linus Pauling. The error caused us to fail to recognize that H2O is actually a solvent of its own polarity--a realization that is absent from the current model and a realization without which we cannot make sense of much of the evidence. It has been said that there are over 70 anomalies of H2O. In reality there is only one. And this anomaly isn't in the evidence, it is in the model that was introduced to us way back in the 1950s. The current paradigm is fundamentally wrong and will continue to produce confusion as long as researchers like Nilsson stubbornly refuse to reconsider first principles. Why H2O Polarity is Variable ruclips.net/video/KzkxdWWg3HU/видео.html

    Don't know if anyone is monitoring this, but I'm confused at 16.16. I can see that any continuous bounded function of a closed interval attains its supremum, but consider the function 1/x on the closed interval 0 to 1. This does not attain its supremum. Is the word 'bounded' intended to be linked to the function and not to the interval, for, surely, any closed interval is, by definition, bounded?

    • @petershotts8571
      @petershotts8571 3 месяца назад

      Sorry. Of course. Continuity of function fails at x=0 for the closed inteval 0 to 1, so please ignore the above comment.

    Quantum Computing for Programmers New Edition by Robert Hundt (Author) This introduction to quantum computing from a classical programmer's perspective is meant for students and practitioners alike. Over 25 fundamental algorithms are explained with full mathematical derivations and classical code for simulation, using an open-source code base developed from the ground up in Python and C++. After presenting the basics of quantum computing, the author focuses on algorithms and the infrastructure to simulate them efficiently, beginning with quantum teleportation, superdense coding, and Deutsch-Jozsa. Coverage of advanced algorithms includes the quantum supremacy experiment, quantum Fourier transform, phase estimation, Shor's algorithm, Grover's algorithm with derivatives, quantum random walks, and the Solovay-Kitaev algorithm for gate approximation. Quantum simulation is explored with the variational quantum eigensolver, quantum approximate optimization, and the Max-Cut and Subset-Sum algorithms. The book also discusses issues around programmer productivity, quantum noise, error correction, and challenges for quantum programming languages, compilers, and tools, with a final section on compiler techniques for transpilation.
